Jackson Hole Hide-Away
Shawback Design traveled back and forth from Jackson Hole to Napa for a year for this project, taking lead on everything from the floor plans, lighting, plumbing, to construction oversight. On a short timeline and small budget, the renovation transformed the home into something completely new— a careful balance between an unlikely pair: sleek, modern design and warm, rustic detailing. The spacious, modern floor plan is grounded by several varieties of wood, each richly dyed and heavily textured, adding a liveliness and temporarily to the project. The warmth of the wood is offset by sleek metallic details, most notably on the fireplace, with its vividly textured finish that plays with the light coming into the room and from the fire itself.
